New Standards-Based Report Cards

Standards Based Report Cards

Beginning the 2017 - 2018 school year A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center will begin using a revised report card that is now standards-based. This report card will allow everyone in involved with your student to better understand grade-level expectations and capabilities for your student(s).

The report card was created so that the categories match the wording of current state standards. The kindergarten and first grade report cards are based on the  New Jersey Student Learning Standards, while pre-k is based on the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.

A.P. Morris will also use trimesters (instead of four marking periods) for pre-k, kindergarten and first grade to allow our young learners more time to demonstrate growth. The trimester dates can be found below.

WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE?

Teachers will provide more information regarding the standards-based report card at back-to-school night on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
